This Sunday will be the last of our 10:00 a.m. worship services for the season.  Pastor will be preaching from Matthew 16:21-28. 

We return to our regular program schedule beginning Sunday, September 7, with services at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.  The September Good News has a complete listing of programs and events for the fall.  Be sure to read it!

On Tuesday night, August 26, our pastor’s father, William A. Cobb, was rushed to Mercy Suburban Hospital in PA with a severe sugar imbalance (he is diabetic), a blood infection, renal failure and low blood pressure.  On examination they also discovered he had had a heart attack.  The pastor went up to PA on Thursday night and returned Friday afternoon.  Mr. Cobb did make a remarkable comeback, but he is still in intensive care.  There will be another consultation with doctors in a few days.

Pastor and Mrs. Cobb would appreciate your prayers for his father.  Assuming he survives, his life will be limited from now on.

The Cobbs are still hoping to go on the Travel Club cruise next week assuming his father is stable by then.
